Hank is the new steam engine on Sodor. In spirit and character, he is the All American Steam Engine. He has the enthusiasm of a cheer leader, the strength of a titan and a propensity to be goofily inappropriate. Hank does not look like the conventional Sodor Steam Engine. Requires 1 x AA battery. Henry is a long, fast engine. He has a thoroughbred look and like all thoroughbreds tends to be somewhat highly strung and prone to illness. Requires 1 x C battery. For ages 3 years and over.

James is a medium-sized engine. His six driving wheels are not as big as Gordon's and not as small as Thomas'. He has a fine scarlet coat and brass dome and likes to think of himself as a really splendid engine. Requires 1 x C battery. For ages 3 years and over.

Percy is the junior member of the principal team of engines. He is a happy little chap who is normally quite happy puffing around the year with no particular desire for adventure in the great world outside. Requires 1 x AA battery. For ages 3 years and over.

Proteus' bright, bright lamp that marked him out from any other engine. Its beam could be seen for miles around. Proteus said it was magical. Requires 1 x AA battery. For ages 3 years and over.

Rocky is a crane. He is very strong, has a face like Desperate Dan and the ego of a teddy bear - he wants to be everyone's best friend. Rocky has the strength to do all the big jobs Harvey can't - like lift derailed engines back on to the tracks, but Rocky has no engine. Another engine has to pull Rocky to wherever his is needed. Rosie is a tomboy tank engine. She is almost the same size and has the same capability as Thomas - who she idolizes. She seeks to copy his every action and follow his every mood with great charm and equal persistence. Requires 1 x AA battery. For ages 3 years and over.

Spencer is a top of the range classy steam engine with a tender - an A4 Pacific. He is metallic silver with blue details. Privately owned by the Duke and Duchess of Boxford, Spencer is a bit of a snob with a posh accent, and like the royal train, he pulls Pullman coaches, a private dining car etc. Faster and more powerful than even Gordon.
